How to Get a Good IT Job in this Crowd.
According to India Today nearly 8 Lakh engineers are produced every year . but 60% of them are jobless and 7% of them are really employable.
The question is why so? Although they have studied the same subjects gone through various projects and assignments. Yes i totally agree that our education system is not so dynamic and fast adapting to newer technology and industry trends .they believe in getting the basics right only. we all know we can't change the education system in one day but for our existence in this world full of crowd and competition we need to stand Apart and do something extra ordinary.
Firstly Talk about the strategy followed by companies few year back.
Few years back companies used to hire freshers and train them on specific technology for 6 months or 1 year but it consumes lot of company's capital and Time. But now most of the company is avoiding this. They want those employees who are already expert or have some experience of any niche Technology.
Now the question is "I am really good at any specific Technology. How can i find a good
employer?"
Now move to the current strategy followed by companies for fresher hiring.
1. Big MNC's organizes their own codeathon or Hackathon for Hunting Desired Talents.
2. Many Startup use platforms like HackerEarth, Hacker Rank etc for finding great minds.
3. Posts jobs/internships on platforms like LinkedIn Jobs, Internshala, naukri.com etc.
4. Hiring based on Employability assessment tests like AmCAT, CoCubes, E-Litmus etc.
Make sure to maintain a positive Digital Footprint including your online portfolio,Social Media Profile, Blog and Github Repository.
